POSITION SUMMARY

Summer and Winter Break Internship Positions Available

• Knows their way around a toolbox

• Takes direction well

• Good communication skills

• Resourceful Problem Solver

• Highly Motivated Self-Starter

• Pay competitive rates to work in a family-like work environment

• Cannot be claustrophobic

• Ability to work 8-12hr days

• Experience with precision measuring equipment preferred but not necessary (dial indicators, micrometers, etc)

• Experience with Solidworks and FeatureCam Preferred or other CAD/CAM Programs

• Lazy need not apply

• Must be a valid US Person and enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Program

• Must not have any felony convictions on their record and be willing to submit to a background check

Will Learn:

• Your way around a Navy Ship

• How to diagnose and repair mechanical systems

• Precision Measurement both Manual and Optical

• Machining (CNC: Lathe & Mill, Manual Lathe, Mill, etc.)

• In Depth CAD & CAM Design

• Entire Process from Measurement to Design all the way to Machining

• Budget Management

• Quoting

• How to Communicate with Vendors and Contractors

• How to use a Torque Wrench & an Electric Torque Wrench
